These devices are the heart of ghostbusting. The proton pack & particle thrower generate a stream of protons designed to entangle a ghost like a cowboy’s lasso, and hold them until a portable ghost trap can be reached.
In 1991 Doctors Spengler and Stantz created a Proton Pack that combined the functionality of the (at the time) new Slime Blower with that of the traditional Positron Collider. The one pictured is GBNJ latest refined version of the weapon.
This is pack was created in 1997 by Dr. Spengler as a "Franchise" pack. It's primary souce of power is the rechargable proton core cartridges. Never quite as popular as the standard pack, it does offer increased ghost stopping power.
This pistol based device is powered by a Flux Compression Generator which disrupts the Electro-Magnetic Field that ghosts use to manifest; effectively stunning the enitity temporarily. (and yes that is a NES Light Gun!)
Along with the proton pack this is one of the most crucial devices to a ghostbuster. It is a temporary holding cell for caught ghosts.
Permanent storage for caught ghosts. GBNJ is the test for GBI new "prefab" Protection Grid. Dr. Stantz and Spengler install an already bult laser grid which we then enclose behind cinderblock. Then a custom designed entrance portal and monitoring devices are mounted to the wall. Our ECU use a trap bay which lower from underneth the exterior of the system.
